NAIA Women's Tennis All-Americans

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Five Mid-South Conference women's tennis players earned NAIA All-American honors and two more picked up honorable mention honors, NAIA officials announced on Monday.

Cumberlands' Neesha Thirumalaichelvam -- the 2013 MSC Women's Tennis Player of the Year -- and Lindsey Wilson's Slavica Milanovic were named first team. Cumberland's Angelica Sepulveda and Lindsey Wilson's Laura Vergara and Alejandra Galvis were picked as second-team All-Americans

NAIA Women's Tennis National Tournament

MOBILE, Ala. -- Lindsey Wilson women's tennis fell one step shy of playing for a national title after today's 5-1 loss to Auburn-Montgomery (Ala.) in the NAIA National Tournament semifinals at the Mobile Tennis Center.

With the loss, the sixth-seeded Blue Raiders close their season with a 19-3 record.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Eight women's tennis student-athletes from Mid-South Conference institutions earned 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, NAIA officials announced on Friday.

Georgetown led the MSC schools and tied for the most in the NAIA with four student-athletes among 119 women to receive the award.

MOBILE, Ala. -- Lindsey Wilson women's tennis went the distance today en route to upsetting No. 3-seed Brenau (Ga.) 5-4 in the NAIA National Tournament quarterfinals at the Mobile Tennis Center.

The sixth-seeded Blue Raiders advance to the national semifinals for the fifth time in the program's history. Lindsey Wilson meets second-seeded Auburn-Montgomery (Ala.) at 1 p.m. CT on Friday for the right to advance to Saturday's national championship match. AUM defeated unseeded Northwood (Fla.) 5-1 today.

NAIA Women's Tennis National Tournament

MOBILE, Ala. -- It was a clean sweep today for the No. 6-seeded Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team as the Blue Raiders beat Vanguard (Calif.) 5-0 in the NAIA National Tournament second round at the Mobile Tennis Center.

The Blue Raiders (18-2) advance to Thursday's national quarterfinals against No. 3-seeded Brenau (Ga.). Brenau defeated Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) 5-0 today to advance.
