ST. CATHARINE, Ky. -- Matt Taylor has been two separate tenures as assistant basketball coach at Pikeville (Ky.). In between those stints he was an assistant at St. Catharine (Ky.). Now Taylor will even the score with a return to St. Catharine.

But for the first time since his graduation from Alice Lloyd (Ky.), Taylor will now be the head man of a college basketball program. That became a reality Thursday when Taylor was introduced to lead the Patriots. He will replace J.T. Burton who was 95-80 in six years at St. Catharine.

NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- A quartet to Mid-South Conference teams are ranked in the postseason NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, NAIA officials announced on Wednesday.

Pikeville (Ky.) leads the Mid-South teams with 216 voting points and a No. 5 national ranking -- down three spots from the final regular season ranking. The Bears (31-3) fell 88-83 to national semifinalist St. Gregory's (Okla.) in the tournament's second round to cap a season where they won the MSC regular season and tournament titles.

NAIA Division I Men's Basketball All-Tournament Team

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Georgetown (Ky.) senior guard Monty Wilson earned his second straight all-tournament team nod at the Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Championship.

The 10-man all-tournament team was announced following the championship game on Tuesday night in Kansas City, Mo.

NAIA Men's Basketball National Tournament

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – (Box score) MidAmerica Nazarene claimed the final spot in the Fab Four of the 2014 Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship after knocking off St. Catharine (Ky.), 86-73, Saturday evening in Municipal Auditorium. The Pioneers will face No. 8-seeded Emmanuel (Ga.) on Monday, March 24 at 8:00 p.m. CDT.

The Pioneers will make their second semifinal appearance in the last six years, making their debut in the Fab Four during the 2009 tournament. MNU also ran its current winning streak to 10 games as one of two unseeded teams (St. Gregory's) to reach the last four.
