St. Catharine, Ky. – Former St. Catharine College men's basketball player, Ben Vozzola has been invited to play in the NBA Summer League.

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (Men's Basketball) – Sean Elliott (JR/Canal Winchester, Ohio), a senior sports studies major from Canal Winchester and SSU men's basketball player, died early this morning in a car accident on I-70 near Columbus.

"The university community is deeply saddened by this tragic news and we are doing what we can on campus to support our students, faculty, and coaching staff," Shawnee State University President Rita Rice Morris, said. "Our thoughts and prayers are with Sean's family and friends."

ST. CATHARINE, Ky. -- For the last 20 basketball seasons Joe Krupinski has been a big part of the regional and national basketball success at five different institutions. As of Thursday, he will now add the sixth to his resume as he was named the new men's basketball coach at St. Catharine College.

Krupinski comes to St. Catharine from American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts where he was an assistant for one year. Previous to that Krupinski was head coach for six years at Lyndon State College in Vermont. Krupinski has also been an assistant at St. Michael's College, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Springfield College.

2014-15 NAIA Division I Men's Basketball All-America teams

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Pikeville (Ky.) senior Kenny Manigault is the 2014-15 NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Player of the Year, NAIA officials announced on Wednesday.

Manigault is joined by five other Mid-South Conference men's basketball student-athletes selected to one of the three All-America teams.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Eleven Mid-South Conference basketball student-athletes have earned 2015 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete honors, NAIA officials announced on Monday.

In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved at least junior academic status.
