Volleyball Weekly Report – Aug. 24

COLUMBIA, Ky. – All eight teams from the Mid-South Conference are in action this week, combining to play 25 matches.

Campbellsville (Ky.) and Georgetown (Ky.) are in action for the first time this season as Campbellsville competes at the Lindsey Wilson Invitational on Friday and Saturday, followed by a match on the road against Indiana Southeast on Tuesday. Georgetown competes at the St. Xavier (Ill.)/Trinity Christian (Ill.) Crossover this weekend.

Volleyball Weekly Report – Aug. 17

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Six Mid-South Conference teams begin their 2016 volleyball seasons this week, with a combined 21 matches taking place over the next week.

Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) is hosting their first of two tournaments on Friday and Saturday. Cumberland (Tenn.) and Cumberlands (Ky.) are joining the Blue Raiders at the LWC Classic this weekend.

Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball Coaches' Preseason Top 25 Poll

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Georgetown (Ky.) and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) are the lone two teams from the Mid-South Conference ranked in the top 25 of the NAIA Volleyball Coaches' Preseason Poll, while Cumberlands (Ky.) was mentioned in the receiving votes section of the poll, the national office announced on Tuesday.

Lindsey Wilson is ranked third in the poll as they earned 555 total points. The Blue Raiders were ranked third at the end of the 2015 season after they made an appearance in the national semifinals. Lindsey Wilson went 37-4 last season, which included winning the MSC regular season and tournament titles.

 
Volleyball - Thu, Aug 11, 2016

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) is the preseason favorite to win the 2016 Mid-South Conference volleyball regular season title, conference officials announced on Thursday.

The Blue Raiders received 48 voting points and six of the eight first-place votes from the conference coaches. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.

COLUMBIA, Ky. – The NAIA announced their 2015 Volleyball All-America Teams on Tuesday and eight individuals from the Mid-South Conference earned All-American honors.

Lindsey Wilson's (Ky.) Carol Siqueira was lone selection from the MSC to earn first team honors, while teammates Makenzie Montano and Carolynne Silva earned second team and honor mention recognition, respectively.
