NAIA Women's Cross Country Top 25 Coaches Poll

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Shawnee State (Ohio) closed out the 2015 season ranked No. 12 in the NAIA Women's Cross Country Postseason Top 25 Coaches Poll, NAIA officials announced on Wednesday.

The Bears received 262 voting points from the national raters after a 12th-place finish at the national championships on Saturday in Charlotte, North Carolina.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Shawnee State (Ohio) matched its best-ever finish at the NAIA Women's Cross Country National Championship at McAlpine Creek Park in Charlotte, North Carolina on Saturday.

The Bears scored 385 team points led by Anna Havranek and Sarah Biehl. Havranek finished 39th with a time of 18 minutes and 33 seconds while Biehl -- the MSC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Year -- ended in 54th in 18:48 over the 5,000-meter course.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Eight Mid-South Conference men's cross country student-athletes and 13 women earned NAIA Scholar Athlete honors, NAIA officials announced on Friday.

In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.50 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved at least junior academic status.

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Shawnee State's (Ohio) Sarah Biehl is the Mid-South Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, conference officials announced on Tuesday.

Roeding Insurance Group was founded in 1921 and is today one of the largest independently-owned insurance and financial services agencies in the Cincinnati Tri-State area and the state of Kentucky.

NAIA Women's Cross Country Top 25 Coaches Poll

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Shawnee State (Ohio) is ranked in the latest NAIA Women's Cross Country Top 25 Coaches Poll, NAIA officials announced on Sunday.

The Bears slipped one spot to No. 12 this week despite capturing the Mid-South Conference Championship in dominating fashion. The Bears received 323 voting points from the national raters to earn its 27th consecutive national ranking.
