COLUMBIA, Ky.Albert Edward has been selected by the Colorado Rapids as the 68th overall pick in Round Four of the 2014 Major League Soccer SuperDraft.

The senior defender from Brisbane, Australia made seven starts in 16 games for Lindsey Wilson this season, scoring a goal and adding three assists. Edward's efforts helped the Blue Raiders (17-4-2) secure the Mid-South Conference regular season title and a trip to the NAIA National Championship as the No. 2 seed. Lindsey Wilson made it to the semifinals before falling to No. 11 Auburn-Montgomery (Ala.) 2-1 in overtime.

NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Postseason Top 25 Poll

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Two Mid-South Conference teams are ranked and a third earns a mention in the NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Postseason Top 25 Poll, NAIA officials announced on Wednesday.

Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) and Rio Grande (Ohio) each finished the 2013 season in the top 10 while Campbellsville (Ky.) sits outside the poll but still receiving voting points.

NAIA Men's Soccer All-Americans

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Five Mid-South Conference men's soccer student-athletes were named National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics All-American, NAIA officials announced on Monday.

One addition Mid-South player earned honorable mention all-American honors.

NAIA Men's Soccer National Championships

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- No. 2-seed Lindsey Wilson men's soccer fell 2-1 in overtime to No. 11-seed Auburn (Ala.) University Montgomery in tonight's 2013 NAIA National Championship Semifinal game at Emory Folmar YMCA Soccer Complex.

Lindsey Wilson (17-4-2, 8-0-1 MSC) had a 1-0 lead heading into the 90th minute before AUM was given a free-kick with two seconds left on the clock. Sebastian Wladyko crossed the ball over the 18-yard box to Mathis Kroeger who slipped open on the far side of the net and put the ball past Yuta Nomura to send the game into overtime.

NAIA Men's Soccer Scholar-Athletes

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Eight Mid-South Conference men's soccer student-athletes have been named 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, NAIA officials announced on Friday.

In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved at least junior academic status.
