COLUMBIA, Ky. – Six teams from the Mid-South Conference begin their 2016 men's soccer season this week.

Along with the six teams in action for the first time this season, Life (Ga.) returns to action during the second week of action.

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Life (Ga.) is the only team in action during the opening week of the season as they start their first season of competition.

The first contest in program history for the Running Eagles is slated to take place on the road at Brewton-Parker (Ga.) on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. ET.

NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Preseason Top 25 Poll

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Campbellsville (Ky.), Cumberland (Tenn.) and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) represent the Mid-South Conference in the NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Preseason Top 25 Poll, the national office announced on Tuesday.

Campbellsville leads the Mid-South trio with 322 voting points this week, which places them 12th in the poll. The Tigers finished last season with a record of 18-2-2 and captured the MSC regular season title with a mark of 7-0-0. Campbellsville also made an appearance at the final site of the NAIA National Championship.

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Campbellsville (Ky.) is the favorite to win the 2016 Mid-South Conference Men's Soccer title, according to the coaches' preseason poll, conference officials announced on Wednesday.

The Tigers earned 47 total points in the preseason poll, while grabbing five of the eight first-place votes. Campbellsville won their first Mid-South Conference championship in 2015 as they went 7-0-0 in the MSC during the regular season.

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. -- The University of the Cumberlands Men's Soccer team is striving to continue their upward climb in the Mid-South Conference in the 2016-17 season.  The Patriots improved drastically last season, posting an overall record of 11-8-1 (3-4 MSC).  This year, UC will be under the direction of a new head coach as Chris LeFevre has been hired to take over the Patriots' program. 

LeFevre is originally from Stockholm, New Jersey, but currently resides in Abilene, Texas with his wife of 11 years, Betsy, and two sons, Isaac and Micah.  He was graduated from Adelphi University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York in 2006 with a Masters' Degree in Sports Administration.
