WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. -- The University of the Cumberlands Men's Soccer team is striving to continue their upward climb in the Mid-South Conference in the 2016-17 season.  The Patriots improved drastically last season, posting an overall record of 11-8-1 (3-4 MSC).  This year, UC will be under the direction of a new head coach as Chris LeFevre has been hired to take over the Patriots' program.

LeFevre is originally from Stockholm, New Jersey, but currently resides in Abilene, Texas with his wife of 11 years, Betsy, and two sons, Isaac and Micah.  He was graduated from Adelphi University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York in 2006 with a Masters' Degree in Sports Administration.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland Director of Athletics Ron Pavan announced the promotion of Rory O'Connor to head coach of the CU men's soccer program on Monday. O'Connor replaces Kyle Smith, who announced his resignation earlier this month.

"We are sorry to see Kyle go, but Rory has been a major part of the rebuilding process at Cumberland over the last three seasons and the two of them reaped some of the benefits of their hard work this past year," Pavan said. "Rory brings tremendous knowledge of the sport and has done excellent work recruiting players who have enjoyed great success in his short tenure at Cumberland."
