WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. -- The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Football program is in the midst of their 2014 season as they ready themselves for the grueling schedule ahead. Although the Patriots have put in a lot of time and work on the practice field, they also have come together as a team and a family off the field.

Recently the team stepped off the gridiron as they joined together to attend church services at First Baptist Church in Williamsburg where the congregation welcomed them with open arms and hosted them for a luncheon following the services. Shortly after, the Patriot team along with Head Coach Matt Rhymer and staff helped new freshman as well as upperclassmen move onto campus. Welcoming the students to their home away from home, the players helped others as they hauled boxes of belongings into the students' dorm rooms.
