Williamsburg, KY – University of the Cumberlands Athletic Director Chris Kraftick has announced the hiring of Bailey Dillender as the Patriots new softball coach.  Dillender becomes just the third head coach in the program's history.

"We are thrilled to welcome Bailey to our staff. Her energy and passion for the game is contagious," said Kraftick. "Bailey is a Kentucky native and played in the MSC, couple that with her experience coaching at Tennessee Tech made her a perfect fit for this position."

NAIA Softball Coaches' Top 25 Postseason Poll

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) and Campbellsville (Ky.) represent the Mid-South Conference in the NAIA Softball Coaches' Top 25 Postseason Poll, the national office announced on Wednesday.

Both the Blue Raiders and Tigers slipped in the ranking following the national championship.

NAIA Softball All-America Teams

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Campbellsville's (Ky.) Jacqueline Roof was named as a NAIA Softball Second Team All-America honoree, while Lindsey Wilson's (Ky.) Casey Bryan was placed on the honorable mention list, the national office announced on Friday.

This is the second-straight season Roof was selected as an All-American as she was a first team honoree last season. Bryan earned second team accolades following the 2015 season.

Daktronics-NAIA Softball Scholar-Athletes

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Seventeen Mid-South Conference softball student-athletes earned Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, the national office announced on Wednesday.

In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.50 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved at least junior academic status.

CoSIDA Academic All-America Softball Teams

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson's (Ky.) Cassie Kooker was selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) First Team Academic All-America, while Campbellsville's (Ky.) Brianna Scott was selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Softball Second Team, the organization announced on Monday.

Kooker is a two-team first team honoree, while Scott was named to the second team for the second-straight season within the college division.
