NAIA Men's Basketball All-America Teams

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Life's (Ga.) Dalarian Williams highlighted the NAIA Men's Basketball All-America Teams after being named the 2016-17 NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Year, the national office announced on Thursday.

All selections are made by the All-America Committee. There are 10 members on each of the first, second and third All-America teams.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Life (Ga.) ended its 2016-17 campaign with a loss to Texas Wesleyan, 86-76, in the Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship game on Tuesday night at the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.

Following the game, Dalarian Williams was named the NAIA National Player of the Year. This marks the third-straight season the Mid-South Conference Player of the Year has went on to be named the NAIA National Player of the Year.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Life (Ga.) punched its ticket to the national championship game after it handed LSU Alexandria (La.) its first loss of the season, 65-63, on Monday night in the semifinals of the Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship.

The Running Eagles (26-10) had four players reach double figures led by Mike Miller with a game-high 17 points. Dalarian Williams chipped in with 14 points, while Jonathan Beausejour and Zach Landis finished the game with 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Daktronics-NAIA Men's Basketball Scholar-Athletes

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Five Mid-South Conference men's basketball student-athletes earned Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, the national office announced on Monday.

In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.50 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved at least junior academic status.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Third-seeded Pikeville (Ky.) dropped an overtime thriller to No. 1-seeded LSU Alexandria (La.), 84-80, in the quarterfinals of the Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship in Kansas City, Mo.

Trey Rakes scored a game-high 21 points for the Bears (28-8), while Rze Culbreath had 17 points and Darrion Leslie recorded 16 points. Jordan Perry was the final player for Pikeville in double figures with 12 points.
