Daktronics-NAIA Cheerleading Scholar-Athletes | Daktronics-NAIA Dancing Scholar-Athletes

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Ten Mid-South Conference cheerleading student-athletes earned Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, the national office announced on Friday.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.

Results

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) won its first Mid-South Conference Cheerleading Championship Wednesday night at the Frankfort Convention Center.

Campbellsville (Ky.), Cumberland (Tenn.) and Georgetown (Ky.) earned wins in the three stunt competitions – coed, all-girl and mixed partner, respectively.

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Mid-South Conference officials handed out all-conference awards on Wednesday night following the 2017 Mid-South Conference Cheerleading Championships.

Following the MSC Championships, Macey McKenzie of Georgetown (Ky.) was selected as the MSC Cheerleader of the Year, while Campbellsville's (Ky.) Abby Prow earned MSC Freshman of the Year honors. Joanie Alexander of Georgetown was named the MSC Coach of the Year.

COLUMBIA, Ky. – The 2017 Mid-South Conference Cheerleading Championships are set to begin on Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET from the Frankfort Convention Center in Frankfort, Kentucky.

The event includes a team competition along with three different stunt group divisions. The championships are going to be broadcast through Backlight TV, which can also be viewed on Roku through the Backlight TV app and iOS Mobile by clicking the mobile button on the player page.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Forty-five Mid-South Conference cheerleading student-athletes earned Academic All MSC honors, conference officials announced on Tuesday.

In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved at least sophomore academic status.
