BURTON TAKES NAIA CROWN, LINDSEY WILSON 2ND OF 23 TEAMS
Lindsey Wilson College's Krista Burton shot a round of 74 (+ 2) on Friday afternoon to
take the individual championship title at the NAIA Women's Golf Championship. The tournament was
played at the Lake San Marcos Country Club in San Diego, California.
Burton, a freshman from Russell Springs, Kentucky, had a tournament total of 295 (74 + 74 + 73 + 74),
four shots better than Shanna Page's score of 299 from Bethel College (Indiana).
The Blue Raiders finished in 2nd place overall out 23 teams, with Oklahoma City winning the team title.
There were a total of 120 golfers participating in championship tournament.

LINDSEY WILSON LISTED # 4 IN NAIA FALL POLL GEORGETOWN RECEIVES VOTES
Lindsey Wilson College is ranked as the # 4 team in the NAIA's Fall Rating of the Top 25. Georgetown College, although
not making the Top 25, received votes in the poll.
Lindsey Wilson won the Mid-South Fall Tournament with Georgetown coming in second.

LINDSEY WILSON LISTED # 17 IN NAIA FALL POLL
Lindsey Wilson College is ranked as the # 17 team in the NAIA's Fall Rating of the Top 25.
Lindsey Wilson won the Mid-South Fall Tournament by 21 strokes over Georgetown.
The first NAIA spring poll will be released on Friday, March 3.

CUMBERLAND, GEORGETOWN TIE IN MID-SOUTH GOLF POLL
The women's golf coaches of the Mid-South Conference have selected both Cumberland College and Georgetown College
as their favorites to win the MSC Championship for the upcoming spring season. Both schools finished with 22 points,
with Cumberland getting one more first-place vote than Georgetown (3 to 2).
Lindsey Wilson College finished in third-place, followed by Campbellsville University (# 4),
Pikeville College (# 5), and Lambuth (#6).
Member schools begin play about March 1st, with the majority of the conference matches being played during
in March and early April. The conference tournament is scheduled for April 15-17 at the Stonecrest
Country Club in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.
The following are the placing positions, total points and first-place votes. Coaches were not allowed to
vote for their own team.
Cumberland College -- 22 points -- (3 first-place votes)
Georgetown College -- 22 points -- (2 first-place votes)
Lindsey Wilson College -- 19 points -- (1 first-place vote)
Campbellsville University -- 11 points
Pikeville College -- 9 points
Lambuth University -- 7 points
