LINDSEY WILSON # 7, G-TOWN GETS VOTES
IN NAIA MEN'S TENNIS PRE-SEASON RATING



Lindsey Wilson College and Georgetown College both are ranked in the pre-season poll released today by the NAIA national office. Lindsey Wilson is the # 7 rated team, while Georgetown, although not listed in the Top 25, did receive votes and just missed the ranking list, coming in at # 26. The first regular season poll will announced on February 21.

IN MID-SOUTH MEN'S TENNIS POLL



The men's tennis coaches of the Mid-South Conference have selected Lindsey Wilson College as the favorite to win the MSC Championship for the upcoming 2006 spring season. The Blue Raiders received 25 points and five first-place votes, with Georgetown College coming in second place, getting 21 points and one first-place vote.

Campbellsville University was rated third, the University of the Cumberlands was fourth, with Lambuth University in the fifth position and Pikeville College at number six.

Most member schools will begin play in late February or early March, with the majority of the conference matches being played in mid-March through mid-April. The conference tournament is scheduled for April 20-21 at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center on the Belknap campus of the University of Louisville.

The following are the placing positions, total points and first-place votes. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.

1.   Lindsey Wilson College -- 25 points -- (5 first-place votes)
2.   Georgetown College -- 21 points -- (1 first-place vote)
3.   Campbellsville University -- 15 points
4.   U. of the Cumberlands -- 13 points
5.   Lambuth University -- 11 points
6.   Pikeville College -- 5 points
