Mid-South Conference
Press Release

   The Mid-South Conference is pleased to announce that Faulkner University (Montgomery, Alabama) is joining the conference as a football member beginning in the fall of 2008. The Eagles will be fielding their inaugural football squad next season (fall 2007) under head coach Jim Nichols. Faulkner will compete in their first season as a NAIA independent member.

   The Mid-South has the following teams currently playing football: Belhaven College (Mississippi), Bethel College (Tennessee), Campbellsville University (Ky.), University of the Cumberlands (Ky.), Cumberland University (Tennessee), Georgetown College (Ky.), Lambuth University (Tennessee), Pikeville College (Ky.), Shorter College (Georgia), Union College (Ky.), University of Virginia-Wise, and West Virginia Tech. Lindsey Wilson College (Ky.) is a full member of the MSC, but does not play football.

With the addition of Faulkner, the Mid-South will have 14 schools located in 7 states.
