LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- With four weeks left in the Mid-South Conference regular season, the University of the Cumberlands women's basketball team has separated itself from the rest of the MSC pack.

The Patriots stand atop the MSC standings as the lone unbeaten at 10-0 -- two games ahead of second place Shawnee State University.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A week ago the Georgetown College and Lindsey Wilson College men's basketball teams were tied for first with a three game lead over the third place team in the Mid-South Conference standings.

As conference play resumes tonight, the Tigers (17-5, 7-3 in the MSC) and Blue Raiders (15-6, 7-3) are still tied atop the standings but with just a one game lead over third place University of Pikeville and St. Catharine College.

University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Basketball player Matt Daniel (Morehead, KY) surpassed the 1,000th point of his career, scoring 16 points on Saturday, January 14^thagainst Shawnee State University in the O. Wayne Rollins Center in Williamsburg. 

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Lindsey Wilson College and Campbellsville University are ranked and University of Pikeville is receiving votes in the NAIA Preseason Men's Tennis Coaches' Top-25 Poll, released on Tuesday by NAIA officials.

Lindsey Wilson is the top-ranked MSC team at No. 13 in the poll. The Blue Raiders -- who shared the regular season conference title with Campbellsville and Georgetown College last season -- received 154 voting points from the national raters.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Two Mid-South Conference teams are ranked and two other conference teams are receiving votes in the preseason NAIA Women's Tennis Coaches' Top-25 Poll, released on Tuesday by NAIA officials.

Lindsey Wilson College is the top MSC team at No. 14 in the first poll of the season while Campbellsville University is No. 22.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Campbellsville University's Tommy Pretty is the Mid-South Conference Wrestler of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

The weekly award is Pretty's first of the season and third of his career. Pretty earned the award twice during the 2010-11 season.

Pretty captured the 141 pound weight class at the Mid-South Conference Championships on Saturday in Williamsburg, Ky.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A trio of Mid-South Conference teams are ranked and two other conference teams are receiving votes in the latest NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Coaches' Top-25 Poll, released on Monday by NAIA officials.

Lindsey Wilson College leads the MSC teams at No. 8. The Blue Raiders (15-6) received 235 voting points from the national raters and remained eighth for a second straight week despite falling twice last week on the road in conference play.

Georgetown College (17-5) fell eight spots to No. 12 after two losses on the road last week as well. The Tigers received 205 voting points in the poll.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Five Mid-South Conference teams remain in the latest NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Coaches' Top-25 Poll, released on Monday by NAIA officials.

The five ranked teams lead the NAIA poll with the most from one conference. It is the sixth consecutive week five teams from the MSC are ranked.

University of the Cumberlands (20-1) continues to lead the MSC pack at No. 6 in the national poll. The Patriots -- who remain sixth for a second straight week -- received 260 voting points from the national raters.
