RIO GRANDE, Ohio -- Five women's teams still have a legitimate shot at a Mid-South Conference team championship after Day One of the MSC Track & Field Championships at the Stockmeister Track & Field Complex at the University of Rio Grande.
The day was filled with a number of record breaking performances as the MSC Meet is a two-day event for the first time in the history of the league.
Shorter is first after the first day of competition with 69 points followed by the University of the Cumberlands (61). Lindsey Wilson is just behind Rio Grande (49) in fourth position (46). Campbellsville is sitting fifth (45) with Georgetown College (23) in the sixth spot and Bethel (TN) is seventh (10).
The MSC Championships resume on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m.
