GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College captured the 2010 Mid-South Conference Men's Tennis Tournament championship today with a pair of wins at the Georgetown College Tennis Complex.

The tournament title is the eighth straight championship for the Lindsey Wilson program, which hasn't lost a tournament match since 2002.

Lindsey Wilson advances to a NAIA Qualifying Tournament on Friday, April 30, at Georgetown. The Blue Raiders are the top-seed in the three-team tournament featuring the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament champion and Independent Ohio Dominican University. The winner of the qualifying tournament receives an automatic bid into the NAIA National Championships May 18-22 in Mobile, Ala.

In today's championship match, the top-seeded Blue Raiders (15-3) defeated No. 2-seed Campbellsville University (10-6) 6-0.

Lindsey Wilson jumped out to a 3-0 lead following a sweep of the doubles play. The Blue Raiders top doubles team of Andrews Moraes and Andre Santos defeated Campbellsville's Pablo Numbela and Enrique Rubio 8-2.

In the No. 3 doubles, Lindsey Wilson's Antoine Pourin and Marlon DalPont defeated Campbellsville's Terry Caven and Zac Malyon 8-4. In the final doubles match, Lindsey Wilson's Freddy Luciani and Justin Martin outlasted Campbellsville's Filip Pavlovic and Angel Marquez 9-8 (6).

The Blue Raiders closed out the match with straight sets wins from Moraes, Santos and Pourin.

Earlier in the day, Lindsey Wilson beat fourth-seeded University of the Cumberlands (4-16) 5-0 in the first semifinal. Campbellsville followed with a 5-0 win over No. 3-seed Georgetown (6-15) to set up the championship match.
