LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College senior Kristina Wimsatt is the Mid-South Conference Women's Track & Field Performer of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

The weekly conference award is the second of the season for Wimsatt. She also earned the honor on March 22.

The Owensboro, Ky., native, finished third in the long jump at the Eastern Kentucky University Open last Friday in Richmond, Ky.

Wimsatt's leap of 17 feet and 8 inches (5.38 meters) was the best finish from an NAIA student-athlete in the predominately NCAA field. Tennessee State University's Martinique Guice won the event with a jump of 18-5.75 feet.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action on April 23-24 at the Mid-South Conference Championships hosted by University of Rio Grande in Rio Grande, Ohio.
