LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Campbellsville University freshman Katie White is the Mid-South Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
The weekly conference award is White's first of the season and of her career.
The Prince Edward Island, Canada, native, won the University of the Cumberlands / Mid-South Conference Spring Tournament on the third hole of a four-woman playoff. She added an all-tournament team performance one day later at the Old Bridge Golf Invitational hosted by Centre (Ky.) College.
White shot a 157 (79-78) over the par 73 Crooked Creek Golf Course to tie for medalist honors over the two-day tournament that concluded on Friday. She out-lasted a trio of players to capture her first career title.
On Saturday, White finished fifth with an 81 over the par 72 Old Bridge course. Her top-five finish earned her a second straight all-tournament honor.
Campbellsville finished runner-up in each tournament.
The Lady Tigers return to action on Monday, April 26, in the Mid-South Conference Championship at Cherry Blossom Golf Club in Georgetown, Ky.
