Former University of the Cumberlands Men's Soccer standout, Tim Brooks, is the new Head Men's Soccer Coach at Spring Hill College. Brooks spent the last three years at the
University of Great Falls in Montana where he held an overall record of 24-16-1 after starting the program in May of 2007. Brooks will also be taking this program from the ground up, as the first fulltime Head Soccer Coach for Spring Hill.
Brooks played at Cumberland College, now University of the Cumberlands, from 2001-2004. While at Cumberland, Brooks was a 2nd Team NAIA All American and earned 1st Team All Mid-South Conference accolades. He was also chosen his team's Most Valuable Player (MVP) and served as the football team's kicker and punter in his senior year.
Before going to Great Falls, Brooks was the Assistant Men's Soccer Coach and Goalkeeper coach for University of the Cumberlands from 2004-2007. While coaching, Brooks twice developed an All-Conference goalkeeper and his teams were ranked as high as 20th in the NAIA.
Brooks has worked with four NAIA All-Americans over his coaching career along with 21 All-Conference players, nine Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes and two players who have moved into the ranks of professional soccer
"I'm very excited about the opportunity to coach at Spring Hill," Brooks said in a recent news interview. "I'm also excited about the challenges ahead of us as a team. Spring Hill is an outstanding college with a rich history and tradition and a great place to work."
