JACKSON, Tenn. -- (Box Score) Campbellsville (Ky.) University used a key second half run on its way to a 75-57 win over Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University. The Lady Tigers advance to the quarterfinals on Saturday in the 2010 NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Championship in Jackson, Tenn. Campbellsville will make its first appearance in the quarterfinals since 2002 when they fell 61-60 to Mobile (Ala.).

Both squads matched each other shot for shot in the first half. Trevecca Nazarene was able to take a six-point lead on an Abby Lawson field goal at the 12:14 mark in the first half. It would equal the largest lead for either squad in the first half. Campbellsville would answer going on a 13-2 run over the next 4:47 to take a 27-22 lead. TNU knotted the score, 31-31, just before halftime on a Shenita Gleaves basket, but Campbellsville's Mackenzie Lee drilled a 25-footer as time expired to give the Lady Tigers a 34-31 lead.
Melly Heaton stretched the Campbellsville lead to seven points on a three-point bucket with 17:16 left in the second half and Trevecca would make a 6-0 run to pull within one point, but it would be as close as they would come the rest of the way. The Lady Tigers used a 17-4 run to blow the game open over the next 9:02 and stretch their lead to 62-48. Courtney Danis capped off the run for Campbellsville by converting an old-fashioned three-point play. Campbellsville knocked down it's free throws down the stretch to secure the win, 75-57.

Campbellsville had four players score in double-figures, three of those players recording double-doubles. Whitney Ballinger led the Lady Tigers with 18 points, 12 rebounds and nine blocks, one away from her second consecutive triple-double. Danis added 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Lady Tigers and Megan Isaacs came off the bench to score 12 points and grab 10 rebounds. Lee rounded out the double-figure scorers with 14 points.

Shenita Gleaves scored 11 points off the bench for Trevecca, while Abby Lawson added 10 points.

Ballinger's 12 rebounds set a new school record for rebounds in a season with 404 total rebounds on the year; her 140 blocks are already a school record. She is only 14 points away from setting the school record for points in a season.

Campbellsville improves to 33-2 on the season, while Trevecca Nazarene finishes its season at 22-11.
