LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- University of the Cumberlands sophomore Pierre Carlsson is the Mid-South Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, according to the conference.

The weekly conference award is the first of the season handed out by the conference. The award is Carlsson's second of his career.

The Oxelosund, Sweden, native, concluded the Rome News-Tribune Invitational hosted by Berry (Ga.) College with a third place finish at Stonebridge Golf Club.

Carlsson shot a two-day total of four-under par 140 (68-72) over the 6,688 yard, par 72 Stonebridge course.

Carlsson led the Patriots to a fourth place finish in the 17 team tournament. Cumberlands shot a 586 (292-294) to finish12 strokes behind tournament winner John A. Logan Community College.
