LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- University of the Cumberlands junior Andrew Hill is the Mid-South Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. Hill earns his first conference award of the season and the second straight for a Cumberlands student-athlete. The Carlisle, Ohio, native, won two of three singles matches on the week and a critical doubles point in the Patriots 5-4 win over Cedarville (Ohio) University. Hill dropped his singles and doubles match -- with his brother John -- to Lincoln Memorial (Tenn.) University. But Hill responded to help the Patriots beat Centre (Ky.) College and Cedarville by 5-4 scores. In the Centre win, Hill defeated Andrew Howard 6-4, 6-1 at No. 5 singles. Hill concluded his week with a 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 4 singles over Cedarville's Kyle Deboer. Cumberlands is 2-5 on the season. MSC Players of the Week
