LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- University of the Cumberlands junior Oscar Pantoja is the Mid-South Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. Pantoja earns the first weekly conference award of the season after winning a singles and doubles match during the week. The Zipaqcirq, Colombia, native, paired with his doubles partner Higor Silva defeated Carson-Newman (Tenn.) College's Rodolfo Schwarz and Trent Slagle 8-5 at the No. 1 doubles. Pantoja earned the Patriots a second point by defeating Slagle 7-6 (7), 6-3 in singles play. The two points were Cumberlands only points in a 7-2 loss to the NCAA Division II school. Early in the week, Pantoja dropped a singles and doubles match in a 9-0 loss to Lincoln Memorial (Tenn.) University. MSC Players of the Week
