FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Campbellsville University captured the 2010 Mid-South Conference Cheerleading Championship on Wednesday at the Frankfort Convention Center.

It is the second straight title for the Tigers and their third championship in four seasons. Campbellsville also won the 2007 and 2009 titles.

The Mid-South Conference is the only league in the country that gives President's Cup points for cheerleading.

University of the Cumberlands finished runner-up in the five-team event while Pikeville College finished third.

Following to the team competition, Pikeville's Heather Banks, Leah Harris, Randa Newman, Samantha Neeley and Taylor Stone won the All-Girl Partner Stunt Competition.

Ten cheerleaders earned all-conference honors. Campbellsville's Ashley Kirtley and Bethany Gray, Cumberlands' Danni Barton and Deavin Stewart, Georgetown's Kaitlin Johnson and Ashton Weis, Lindsey Wilson College's Tiffany Glover and Heather Gordon and Pikeville College's Ashley West and Randa Newman.

Campbellsville coach Vanessa Adkins is the Mid-South Conference Coach of the Year and Georgetown's Johnson was selected as the Cheerleading of the Year.

Pikeville's Randa Newman is the Champions of Character recipient. Newman earned the award -- as voted on by the conference athletics director -- for her civic and servant leadership within the campus and community.

Twenty-nine student-athletes earned academic all-conference for maintaining at least a 3.25 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and being a sophomore or higher standing.

Campbellsville's; Jesslyn Long, Alison Medders, Sarah Rose, Rachael Sibcy, Ashley Todd and Danielle Waldrop; Cumberlands' Rebecca Franks, Erin Hammond, Rebecca Hatmaker, Whitney Horn, Debra Iles, Kirby Soles, Deavin Stewart, Kirby Wagner and Erin White; Georgetown's Kaitlin Johnson, Morgan Jury, Jamie Pursiful and Katie Reeves; Lindsey Wilson's Korianne Cox, Heather Gordon, Kayla Johnson and Emily Keeton; and Pikeville's Leah Harris, Kayla Hatton, Corey Huston, Randa Newman, Ashleigh Stanley and Ashley West earned academic all-conference.
