LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Georgetown College senior guard Hollis Giles is the Mid-South Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

Giles averaged 20.3 points and 4.3 rebounds during the week to earn his third weekly award of the season. It is also his third of his career.

The Houston, Texas, native scored double digits in each of the Tigers' games while shooting 60.5 percent (23-of-38) from the field and 37.5 percent (3-of-8) from beyond the three-point arc. He also converted 12 for 16 (75-percent) shots from the charity line.

Giles opened the week with 18 points and six rebounds in the Tigers' 69-41 win over Lindsey Wilson College. He added a 17-point, four-rebound performance in an 82-60 win over University of Rio Grande.

Giles concluded the week with 26 points and five assists in a 71-64 loss to No. 9-ranked Campbellsville University.

On the season, Giles leads the Tigers averaging 18.7 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. He is shooting 58.9 percent from the field.

No. 19-ranked Georgetown is 17-6 overall and 5-3 in the MSC.

The Tigers host University of the Cumberlands on Thursday and West Virginia University Tech on Saturday.
