LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Campbellsville University's Nestor Colmenares is the Mid-South Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

The Caracas, Venezuela, senior center averaged 14.5 points and 9.5 rebounds to pick up his second conference player of the week award of the season. The award is Colmenares' fourth of his career.

Colmenares helped the Tigers to a perfect week with wins at Lindsey Wilson College and at home against University of Rio Grande.

In the Lindsey Wilson win, Colmenares made five-of-six shots to score 10 points in a 57-38 win over the Blue Raiders. He just missed a double-double in the win grabbing nine rebounds. He added three steals.

On Saturday, Colmenares scored 19 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in an 88-72 win over Rio Grande. It was his eighth double-double of the season. Colmenares added three assists and three steals in the game.

For the week, Colmenares connected on 62.5 percent (10-of-16) of his shots while averaging three steals and 1.5 assists.

Colmenares is averaging 15.4 points and 9.8 rebounds per game this season. He ranks in the conference's top 5 in rebounding, field goal percentage and steals.

No. 14-ranked Campbellsville improved to 15-5 overall and 3-1 in the MSC with its wins during last week's play. The Tigers travel to University of the Cumberlands and host St. Catharine College this week.
