JACKSON, Tenn. -- The national championship hopes continued today for unbeaten Lambuth University, as the Eagles ended University of the Cumberlands season 38-7 in the NAIA Football Championship Series opening round. MSC West Division all-conference quarterback Adam Wiese connected on 22-of-32 passes for 372 yards to send the Eagles (12-0) into next weekend's quarterfinals. The NAIA will release the quarterfinal matchups and sites later tonight. Cumberlands -- the MSC East Division champions -- ends its season at 9-2. Click here to read the Lambuth press release.
