GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer team needed penalty kicks to claim the Mid-South Conference Tournament title today at Toyota Stadium.

The top-seeded and No. 1-ranked Blue Raiders earns the conference's automatic berth into the NAIA National Championship after outlasting the Tigers in penalty kicks. The match officially ends as a 2-2 tie with Lindsey Wilson advancing 5-4 in PKs.

Lindsey Wilson sophomore Ida Gregersen scored the lone first goal to give the Blue Raiders (17-2-2) the 1-0 lead at the break.

Gregersen doubled the lead with a goal in the 62nd minute to give Lindsey Wilson a 2-0 advantage.

Third-seeded Georgetown (11-7-2) mounted a comeback with goals in the 67th and 89th minute to send the game into overtime. Georgetown's Alessandra Jansen and Haley Stegner each scored in the game to knot the game at 2-2.

Neither team could find the net in either of the two 10-minute overtimes sending the game into penalty kicks where the Blue Raiders prevailed.

Lindsey Wilson advances to the 32-team national tournament which begins Nov. 21 at on-campus sites. The 16 winners advance to the Fresno, Calif. Nov. 30-Dec. 5.
