JACKSON, Tenn. -- Lambuth University shall not forfeit its game on October 24, 2009 where Johnathan Holston was allowed to compete.
With those words in a press release from the NAIA today, Lambuth football is 10-0 on the season. The Eagles remain unbeaten in league play (5-0) and are Mid-South Conference West Division Champions.
"After reviewing the material submitted by your institution, the committee finds that you have met the criteria established as grounds for an appeal. Given the circumstances of this case, it is appropriate to modify the original decision of the NAIA National Eligibility Committee. Therefore, the NAIA National Coordinating Committee amends the original decision."
The Eagles host Cumberland University Saturday at L.L.Fonville Field. Kickoff is at noon.
