LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- University of Rio Grande's Ederson Lopes and West Virginia University Tech's John Dunn are the Mid-South Conference Men's Soccer Players of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

The final weekly conference award of the season is Dunn's second this season while Lopes earns his first.

Lopes scored six goals and assisted on another to earn Mid-South Conference Offensive Player of the Week. The Sao Paulo, Brazil, junior midfielder helped the RedStorm advance to the Mid-South Conference Tournament semifinals with a 13-0 win over St. Catharine College.

No. 6-ranked Rio Grande improves to 15-2-2 on the season entering its match with University of the Cumberlands on Thursday at the conference tournament in Georgetown, Ky.

Dunn recorded nine saves and a shutout last week to earn MSC Defensive Player of the Week. The Scotland freshman goalkeeper did not allow a goal in his half of work in a 3-1 win over Campbellsville University.

Dunn followed with a five-save, shutout performance in a 3-0 win over Georgetown College.

West Virginia Tech improves to 11-6-1 overall. Tech faces top-seed Lindsey Wilson College in the Mid-South Conference Tournament semifinals on Thursday in Georgetown.
