COLUMBIA, Ky. -- There were no upsets in the first round of the Mid-South Conference Men's Soccer Tournament played today at various sites in the conference.

The tournament's top-seed Lindsey Wilson College coasted to an 8-0 win over eighth-seeded Pikeville College. The Blue Raiders advance to the semifinals where they face West Virginia University Tech at noon ET on Thursday, Nov. 12, at Toyota Stadium in Georgetown, Ky.

Fourth-seeded WVU Tech ended No. 5-seed Georgetown College's season today with a 3-0 win in Montgomery, W.Va.

Lindsey Wilson defeated West Virginia Tech earlier this season 4-1 in Montgomery.

In the bottom half of the draw, second-seeded University of Rio Grande dismantled seventh-seeded St. Catharine College 13-0. The RedStorm advance to play University of the Cumberlands in the other semifinal scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET.

Third-seeded Cumberlands avenged a regular season loss to sixth-seeded Campbellsville University with a 1-0 win today in Williamsburg.

Rio Grande beat the Patriots 2-0 earlier this season at Cumberlands.

The winners of the two semifinal matches advance to Friday's finals. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET at Toyota Stadium.
