LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- University of Virginia at Wise's Danny Hinkle and Jason Lovett and Pikeville (Ky.) College's Kyle Chilton are the Mid-South Conference Football Players of the Week for the week ending Oct. 10, the conference announced on Monday.

The weekly conference award is the first of the season for each, while UVa-Wise is the first program to win two honors in the same week.

Lovett earns MSC Offensive Player of the Week honors after hauling in nine catches in UVa-Wise's 32-31 win against Campbellsville (Ky.) University. The senior from Spotsylvania, Va., started the game strong with four catches for 79 yards and two touchdowns in the first half. In the second half Lovett went wild, adding five more receptions and two scores to finish with 175 receiving yards for the game.

Lovett is fourth in the NAIA in total receiving yards with 714, while UVa-Wise ranks fourth in the country in total passing offense with 2,112 yards.

Hinkle led the UVa-Wise defense to a crucial second-half shutout of Campbellsville to seal the one-point victory and earn MSC Defensive Player of the Week. The junior from Inez, Ky., clinched the win when he blocked the potential game-winning field goal with 44 seconds left. Hinkle tallied two solo tackles and added five tackle assists for the game.

Chilton earned MSC Special Teams Player of the Week following his 49-yard field goal to give Pikeville its 20-19 win at Bethel (Tenn.) College. The successful attempt was the third longest made in program history. Chilton finished the game 2-for-2 on field goal attempts and extra points.
