LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Georgetown College's Britney Chesser and University of Rio Grande's Bryce Wilson are the Mid-South Conference Cross Country Runners of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

The weekly award is Chesser's third straight this season and Wilson's first of the season.

Chesser won her third straight event with a win in her home event. The Louisville senior finished the 5,000 meter course in a time of 20 minutes and 40 seconds to earn the MSC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Chesser's finish helped the Tigers finished second in the Georgetown College Invitational.

Wilson continued the theme of winning at the home event with a first place finish at the Rio Grande Invitational. The Jackson, Ohio, sophomore finished the 8,000 meter course with a time of 26:54 to earn the MSC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Rio Grande finished second in the six-team field.
