LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Georgetown College's Britney Chesser and Luke Garnett are the Mid-South Conference Cross Country Runners of the Week for the week ending Sept. 19, the conference announced on Monday.

Chesser earns her second consecutive conference weekly award, while Garnett picks up his first of the season.

Chesser dominated the field once again in a win at the Berea College Invitational to earn the MSC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week. The Louisville native ran the 5,000 meter course in 19 minutes and 45 seconds to beat her nearest competitor by 38 seconds.

Chesser helped the Tigers to a second place finish at the 10-team event.

Garnett captured the men's race at Berea to earn the MSC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week. The Cynthiana, Ky., native, finished the 8,000 meter course in 27:27 to win by nine seconds.
