LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- University of the Cumberlands' Josh Laughlin Darcey Mascotti are the Mid-South Conference Cross Country Runners of the Week for the week ending Sept. 5, the conference announced on Monday.

The pair earns the first weekly award of the season handed out by the conference.

Laughlin, a senior from Bellbrook, Ohio, finished 17th out of 341 runners at the Twilight Classic hosted by University of Memphis to earn the men's award. Laughlin helped the Patriots to a 10th place finish in the 25-team field full of NCAA Division I teams.

Laughlin finished the four-mile run with a time of 20 minutes and 47.55 seconds.

Mascotti crossed the line 44th out of 266 runners in the Twilight Classic to earn the women's runner of the week. The Bellbrook freshman finished with a time of 19:53.95 over the 5,000 meter course to help the Patriots to a 14th place finish (out of 24 teams).
