RAPID CITY, S.D. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's golf team continued its ascent up the NAIA National Championships field moving to 10th following today's third round at Meadowbrook Golf Course.

The Blue Raiders moved up one spot to 10th following today's team total of 322 -- Lindsey Wilson's best round of the tournament. The Blue Raiders are 983 (325-336-322) after three rounds with the final round set for Friday.

Oklahoma City University leads the tournament with a team total of 915 (302-311-302). The four-time defending champions lead the tournament 24 shots.

Lindsey Wilson junior Krista Burton moved up four spots into a tie for 10th with today's three over par 75. Burton's three round total of 233 (77-81-75) is 10 strokes back of Oklahoma City's Sydney Cox's 223 (77-73-73).

Lindsey Wilson freshman Paola Gonzalez posted her second straight 82 and sits in a tie for 37th with a 245 (81-82-82). Junior Jessica Smith is tied for 64th with a 251 (83-86-82).

Sophomore Chelsey Key (254) is tied for 78th and junior Cheslee Stone (263) is tied for 107th entering Friday's final round.

Lindsey Wilson begins the final round at 10:10 a.m. CT.
Prior to today's match, three members of the women's golf team were named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes. Burton, senior Aline Decker and junior Tracy McClain were honored for being at least a junior standing and maintaining at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. The trio was three of87 women'sgolf student-athletes to receive the honor.
