MOBILE, Ala. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's tennis team continued its run through the NAIA National Championships with a 5-4 upset win over No. 6-seed California Baptist University today at the Mobile Tennis Center.

The Blue Raiders advance to play third seeded Berry (Ga.) College -- who defeated Xavier (La.) University 5-3 today -- at 1 p.m. CT on Thursday.

Lindsey Wilson (12-4) trailed 2-1 following doubles play. The Blue Raiders managed to win at No. 1 doubles as the team of junior Jessica Weyreuter and freshman Vanja Tomic beat Marcela Montanha and Dunya Wren 8-3 but dropped the remaining doubles matches to fall behind.

The Blue Raiders tied the match at 4-4 with wins at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 5 singles while dropping matches at No. 4 and No. 6. Every match was decided in straight sets.

The decisive match proved to be No. 3 singles as Weyreuter captured the first set 6-4 and led in the second set -- she served for the match on two different occasions in the set -- before California Baptist's Jelena Savic came back to win the set in a tiebreaker.

Despite the momentum change, Weyreuter refused to go down winning the third set 6-3 to help the Blue Raiders advance.
