GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- The top two seeds in the Mid-South Conference Baseball Tournament advance to the tournament finals with wins today at Robert N. Wilson Field.

Top-seeded Campbellsville University and No. 2-seed Georgetown College advance to the finals on the heels of their wins over No. 3-seed University of the Cumberlands. The finals are tentatively set for 1 p.m. ET on Friday, May 1 at Campbellsville

In today's opener, Campbellsville won an offensive battle beating Cumberlands 19-12 in the winner's bracket finals.

The top of the Campbellsville (34-8) lineup proved to be the difference as the top five batters combined to go 17-for-27 with 14 runs and eight RBIs. The Tigers broke open a 10-10 tie with an eight-run seventh inning en route to the win.

MSC Player of the Year Chris Curley hit a three-run home run in the decisive inning to send the Tigers into the finals. Curley finished the game with three hits, three runs and three RBIs.

The loss dropped the Patriots into the finals of the loser's bracket with Georgetown.

In the nightcap, Georgetown used big innings in the fifth and eighth innings to cruise to an 11-2 win.

Georgetown's Bryan Bonner went 3-for-4 at the plate with four RBIs to lead the Tiger bats. Bonner sparked the Tigers' six-run fifth with a three-run home run.

Georgetown pitchers Chase Ballinger and Ryan Anderson combined to limit the Patriots (31-18) to just two runs on five hits.

Campbellsville and Georgetown is scheduled to meet on Friday. Campbellsville swept the season series, winning all four games at Campbellsville.
