GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- Top-seeded Campbellsville University and No. 3-seed University of the Cumberlands moved into the finals of the winner's bracket with wins today at the Mid-South Conference Baseball Tournament at Robert N. Wilson Stadium. Campbellsville (33-8) pounded out 17 hits -- including four home runs -- in a 16-2 win over No. 4-seed West Virginia University Tech. Campbellsville first baseman Brian Chase led the Tigers with three hits, three runs and three RBIs. In the second game of the day, Cumberlands scored six runs in the fifth inning to beat No. 2-seed and host Georgetown College 6-3. Cumberlands right fielder Dylan Holt and left fielder Ronnie Hawkins drove in two runs each to lead the Patriot (30-16) offense. In the nightcap, Georgetown (30-21) scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to beat West Virginia Tech (15-22) 5-4 in an elimination game. Georgetown third baseman Mike Steinke contributed three hits and a pair of RBIs in the win. The loss ends Tech's season. Campbellsville and Cumberlands meet at noon ET for the right to host the MSC Tournament finals. The loser faces Georgetown at 3:30 p.m. ET with a date in the finals on the line. The MSC Tournament final is scheduled for either May 1 or May 2 at the winner of the Campbellsville and Cumberlands game.
