GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- Top-seeded Lindsey Wilson College backed up its regular season title with a 5-1 win today over No. 2-seed Georgetown College in the Mid-South Conference Men's Tennis finals today at the Georgetown College Athletics Complex.
The Blue Raiders advance to next Saturday's unaffiliated group championship against the winner of the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in Berea, Ky. The winner of that match will earn an automatic bid into the NAIA National Championships May 12-16 in Mobile, Ala.
The Blue Raiders (10-4) won two of the three doubles points entering singles play.
MSC Player of the Year Freddy Luciani, Andrews Morares and Falk Debeenhower all won in straight sets to capture the championship 5-1.
The tournament title is the Blue Raiders seventh straight dating back to the 2003 season.
