GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- Second-seeded Georgetown College used a four-run fourth inning to beat top-seeded Campbellsville University 5-3 today in the Mid-South Conference Tournament finals at Tiger Stadium.

The tournament championship is Georgetown's first since the 2003 season. The Tigers earn the MSC's automatic berth into the NAIA National Championship May 14-20 in Decatur, Ala.

Georgetown third baseman provided a solo home run and second baseman Pamela Hardesty added a two-run double to fuel the Tiger offense. The pitching duo of Brittany Gunther and Michelle Dresselhaus combined to allow Campbellsville just three runs on six hits.

Georgetown won four straight in the tournament after losing its tournament opener. The Tigers enter the national tournament with a 31-8-1 record. Campbellsville (41-7-1) must now wait to see if they will receive one of the seven at-large bids into the national championships.

The national tournament field will be announced on May 5.
