GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- Second-seeded Georgetown College needed extra innings, but the Tigers forced a decisive game with a 7-4 win over top-seeded Campbellsville University in 10 innings today in the Mid-South Conference Tournament at Tiger Stadium.

With the win, Georgetown (30-8-1) hands Campbellsville (41-6-1) its first loss in the double-elimination tournament and forces a true final game.

The extra inning win is the second straight for Georgetown, who beat Lindsey Wilson 5-4 in nine innings earlier today.

The two teams entered the ninth inning tied at 1-1. Georgetown scored twice in the top of the ninth only to watch Campbellsville tie the game at 3-3 following its at-bat.

In the 10th inning, the Georgetown bats produced four runs against Campbellsville pitcher Allison Horton. Horton went the distance allowing seven runs -- five earned -- on 12 Georgetown hits.

Campbellsville could manage just one run in the bottom of the 10th inning and lost 7-4.

Four Georgetown pitchers combined to allow four runs on eight Campbellsville hits. Georgetown pitcher Brittany Gunther picked up the win throwing four scoreless innings.
