NAIA Women's Cross Country Coaches' Top 25 Poll                                        

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Shawnee State (Ohio) is the only team from the Mid-South Conference ranked in the NAIA Women's Cross Country Coaches' Top 25 Poll, NAIA officials announced on Wednesday.

No Mid-South Teams are mentioned in the receiving votes section.

Shawnee State falls four spots to No. 10 in the poll after not competing last weekend. The Bears garnered 412 voting points to remain inside the top 10. 

The Bears return to action on Friday, October 13 at the Jenna Strong Invitational, hosted by Wilmington College (Ohio).

Aquinas (Mich.) earned nine first-place votes and 579 total points to claim the No. 1 spot for the first time this season. 

Oklahoma City garnered 574 voting points to move up one spot to No. 2. British Columbia slipped from the top spot to No. 3 in the polls and collected 559 voting points. 

The College of Idaho and Wayland Baptist (Tex.) round out the top five with 533 and 511 points respectively .

The national poll is voted on by a panel of head coaches representing either a conference or the independents.

The next regular season poll is scheduled to be released on Oct. 25.
