GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- No. 4-seed West Virginia University Tech scored nine unanswered runs to beat fifth-seeded Lindsey Wilson College 9-2 today in the Mid-South Conference Baseball Tournament at Robert N. Wilson Field.

After falling behind 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Golden Bears (15-20) answered with a pair of runs in the top half of the sixth inning and seven more in the eighth inning to earn a date with top-seeded Campbellsville University on Sunday.

West Virginia Tech pitcher Pete Vadenbout picked up the complete game win allowing two runs on four hits. He struck out five Lindsey Wilson hitters.

Four Golden Bears recorded three hits each as Tech pounded out 14 hits for the game. First baseman Jonathon Rodriquez, catcher Gerardo Hernandez, shortstop Willie Bays and centerfielder Jose Santiago produced three hits each, five runs and four RBIs at the plate.

West Virginia Tech advances into the tournament's final four where the remainder of the tournament will be double elimination. Lindsey Wilson closes its season at 15-26.

First pitch for West Virginia Tech and Campbellsville is scheduled noon ET at Robert N. Wilson Field.
