Campbellsville (Ky.) finished third in the balloting with 35 points followed by Cumberlands (Ky.) with 31 voting points. Cumberland (Tenn.) and Life (Ga.) are tied for fifth in the preseason poll with 24 voting points while Pikeville (Ky.) and Shawnee State (Ohio) complete the poll with 11 and nine voting points, respectively.

The 2017 Mid-South volleyball season begins mid-August with the MSC Volleyball Tournament scheduled for Nov. 9-10 in Bowling Green, Ky.
