COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Campbellsville (Ky.) is favored to capture the Mid-South Conference men's soccer regular-season title in 2017 according to the preseason coaches' poll, conference officials announced on Wednesday.

The Tigers received 46 voting points and four of the eight first-place votes from the conference coaches. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.

Campbellsville shared the regular-season crown last season with a 6-0-1 record. The Tigers -- who also won the 2015 championship -- own two regular-season titles in their MSC history.

Lindsey Wilson -- who shared last season's title with Campbellsville -- is second in the polling with 45 voting points and the final four first-place votes. Cumberland (Tenn.) is third in the preseason poll with 35 voting points.

Cumberlands (Ky.) is projected fourth in the poll with 31 voting points while Life (Ga.) and Shawnee State tied for fifth with 22 voting points. Georgetown's (Ky.) 15 voting points and Pikeville's (Ky.) eight voting points complete the preseason poll.

The 2017 men's soccer season begins in mid-August. The Mid-South Conference Tournament is scheduled for Nov. 2 and Nov. 9-10 in Bowling Green, Ky.
