CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Both the men's and women's swimming programs from Cumberlands (Ky.) and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) grabbed College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team accolades, the organization announced on Wednesday.

Scholar All-America honors are awarded to teams that achieved a grade point average of at least 3.0 during the 2017 spring semester. A total of 720 teams across 443 institutions spanning NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA, and NJCAA received the honor.

The Cumberlands women's swimming team posted the highest grade point average among Mid-South Conference programs with a 3.43 GPA.

Lindsey Wilson compiled 3.41 GPAs for both the men's and women's teams this past semester. The Patriot men compiled a 3.19 grade point average in 2017.

A total of nine men's teams and 12 women's teams from the NAIA earned Scholar All-America accolades, while the men's program from SCAD Savannah (Ga.) had the highest GPA (3.63) among all NAIA teams.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America – the oldest organization of college coaches in America – is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
