NAIA Softball Coaches' Top 25 Poll
COLUMBIA, Ky. – For the second-straight poll, Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) and Campbellsville (Ky.) are ranked in the top 10 of the NAIA Softball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the national office announced on Tuesday.
Georgetown (Ky.) is the final conference team mentioned in the poll as it is receiving votes.
Lindsey Wilson climbed up three spots and is the highest ranked MSC team at No. 6 with 435 total points. The Blue Raiders captured the MSC regular season title and is currently 35-8 on the season and 21-1 in the conference.
Campbellsville slipped three spots and took over the No. 9 ranking in the poll after earning 377 points. Entering the week, the Tigers have compiled a record of 31-11 overall and is 18-4 in the MSC.
For the fourth-straight poll this season, Georgetown is mentioned in the receiving votes section. The Tigers grabbed 50 total points this week and sits six spots outside of the top 25. On the season, Georgetown has gone 31-12 overall and 14-7 in conference.
Oklahoma City continues to hold the No. 1 ranking with all 19 first-place votes and 529 voting points. The Stars are the only unbeaten team remaining in the NAIA at 46-0.
Brenau (Ga.) moved up a place to No. 2 with 501 points, while Columbia (Mo.) slipped one position to third with 498 voting points. Marian (Ind.) held on to its spot at No. 4 with 476 points and Georgia Gwinnett remains fifth with 463 points.
A panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences and independents voted upon the poll.
The next regular season poll is scheduled to be released on Tuesday, May 2.
