Mid-South Men's Swimming Weekly Report – Jan. 6

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Cumberlands (Ky.) gets the 2017 portion of the men's swimming season started this weekend.

The Patriots travel to the South Georgia Sprint Meet on Saturday afternoon in Douglas, Georgia.

To finish off the 2016 portion of the swimming schedule, Lindenwood-Belleville (Ill.) finished third overall at the Delta State (Miss.) Christmas Invite.

In the latest edition of the NAIA Top Times, Cumberlands had 11 mentions in the top 10 of the individual events, including top 10 times in all five relay events. Lindsey Wilson had six top 10 times on the individual list, to go along with five mentions inside the top 10 of the relay events.

Lindenwood-Belleville was the final team to earn mentions in the top 10 of the NAIA top times. The Lynx had five individual mentions and three relay times in the top 10.

In the NAIA poll, three teams from the Mid-South Conference are ranked in the national poll. Cumberlands is the highest ranked team in the poll at No. 6, while Lindsey Wilson is ranked eighth overall. Lindenwood-Belleville is the final team from the conference mentioned in the poll after slipping two spots to No. 9.
