Men's Cross Country Weekly Report – Nov. 17

COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Mid-South Conference men's cross country season concludes this week at the NAIA National Championship on Saturday.

Shawnee State (Ohio) is the lone team from the MSC competing at the event after winning the conference's automatic bid into the national meet.

Campbellsville's (Ky.) Adam Sandidge and Bret Crawford, along with Cumberlands' (Ky.) Sam Beal and Ben Call are also competing at the NAIA National Championship after being the top-four finishers in the MSC Championship.

The meet takes place at the North Farms Cross Country Course in Elsah, Illinois.

Last week, Sandidge won the NCCAA National Championship with a time of 24 minutes and 52 seconds. The Tigers finished third out of 16 teams.

At the conference championship at the beginning of the month, Shawnee State won with event with 29 points, followed by Campbellsville with 50 points.

Cumberlands finished third with 64 points and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) recorded 139 points to finished fifth. Georgetown (Ky.) rounded out the event with 167 points and finishing sixth overall.

In the final regular season NAIA Men's Cross Country Coaches' Poll, Shawnee State held at No. 10 with 424 points. Campbellsville grabbed three voting points and is mentioned in the receiving votes section of the poll.
