LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Georgetown College's Scott Ritter and Britney Chesser are the Mid-South Conference Runners of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

The weekly award is the fifth of the season for Chesser and the first for Ritter.

Ritter finished second at the men's Late Knight's Run hosted by Kentucky Christian University to earn Mid-South Conference Men's Runner of the Week. The Falmouth, Ky., sophomore ran the 8,000 meters in 27 minutes and 28 seconds.

Ritter helped the Tigers to a first place team finish in the six-team, 51-man field.

Chesser won the women's Late Knight's Run to earn the MSC Women's Runner of the Week. The Louisville junior finished the 5,000-meter course with a time of 18:43 in the 46-woman field.

Chesser led Lady Tigers to a first place finish in 6-team field. This week's award is Chesser's second consecutive MSC Runner of the Week award.
